The city of Vichy is situated in the region of Auvergne, and is the capital of the department of the Allier. The town is positioned to the north west of Lyon and lies on the banks of the river Allier.
CAVILAM is located in the centre of town, in a park beside the river. It offers extensive facilities including 30 classrooms, a lecture hall, 2 large multi-purpose rooms, a multimedia research centre and 4 multi-media laboratories. It is an internationally renowned centre for research and contributes to new developments in the field of language teaching. All teachers have university diplomas.
Intensive French Course- 1 week or longer
On the morning of arrival you sit a test to assess your level and to enable you to describe your objectives.
The weekly program includes 26 lessons of 45 minutes:
- 18 lessons in a group corresponding to the student’s level
- 8 lessons in themed or specialised language workshops
- Customised self-study sessions in the Multimedia Resource Centre
Workshops in oral communication, written communication, grammar, vocabulary, civilization. Or on request and for specific groups, workshops on business French, French for the hotel and tourism industry, legal French, medical etc.
At the end of the course, you receive a certificate of attendance and a diploma co-signed by CAVILAM and the University Blaise Pascal

There will be no lessons on the following public holidays (No reimbursement):
· 9 April, 1, 8, 17 & 28 May, 1 November, 25 December.
Accommodations in: Host Family, Student residence, Self-contained Studio or Apartment & Hotels available at time of enrolment.
All students are required to take out an insurance policy against illness, loss of money, valuables, luggage, theft and early departure for personal or medical reasons
