OP5 - PESSAC-LEOGNAN / GRAVES – Half Day $100

This morning this tour will take you to a less well known region of the Bordeaux vineyards. The Pessac-Leognan appellation is mostly located within the city of Bordeaux the most famous winery being Haut Brion classified as a 1st Grand Cru Classé in 1855. This morning discover 2 chateau’s of the appellation through a visit and wine tasting session. Wine tasting fees & a small bottle of water per person included.

OP6 - GRAVES & SAUTERNS (8 hours) – Full Day $146

Start off in the morning with the discovery of the Pessac Léognan appellation. Visit and tasting of two châteaux amongst which a classified growth of the Pessac appellation. After some free time for lunch, head towards the Sauternes region. After a drive through the vineyards enjoy a visit and wine tasting session in a classified growth of the Sauternes region. Wine tasting fees & a small bottle of water per person included.

Day 1 SAINT EMILION FULL DAY VISIT AND WINE TOUR

Today depart for the charming village of Saint Emilion not only known for its wine but also for the beauty of the village itself. The wine region is known to produce one of the most famous merlots of the world and here some of the most prestigious wineries are named: Petrus, Cheval Blanc or Ausone. Enjoy a wine tasting session in a Classified growth

Chateau of the appellation and then a guided visit of the village. Finally, after some free time for personal discovery, enjoy a second visit and wine tasting in a classified growth chateau.

Day 2 MEDOC FULL DAY WINE TOUR

Come and admire the lowlands of the Médoc (meaning the ‘middle land’ for it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the West and the Gironde estuary to the East), which shares much resemblance with the Dutch polders. In this unique geological set-up, where one finds a predominant graves soil (a blend of sand and gravel), a particular knowledge has been passed on from one generation to the next, in order to produce the most famous red wines in the world. Along the châteaux route, you will come across such pearls as Château Margaux or Mouton Rothschild. Visit and wine tasting in two famous vineyards and then enjoy a personalized “5 Bordeaux wines” tasting session at “La Winery”.

Day 3 GRAVES AND SAUTERNES FULL DAY WINE TOUR

Graves is the only Bordeaux sub region which is famed for all three of Bordeaux's three main wine types - reds, dry whites and sweet wines - although red wines dominate the total production. In the morning visit and wine taste in one of the most famous classified growth chateau of the Graves and Sauternes. Then depart for the charming region of Sauternes. Sauternes is made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes that have been affected by Botrytis cinerea, also known as noble rot. This causes the grapes to become partially raisined, resulting in concentrated and distinctively flavored wines. Enjoy a visit and a wine tasting session in a prestigious classified Domaine of Graves and Sauternes to know all about this legendary wine.
