For the veterans, we’re positive you’ll learn new facts and stories about Paris that you’ve never heard. And we’re sure you’ll both agree that biking is the best way to see the “City of Light”. We also stop for lunch during this tour (price not included).
Tour Highlights:
The Eiffel Tower: The symbol of Paris, built by Gustave Eiffel as the entrance for the World Exposition of 1889 and stood as the tallest building in the world until New York City's Chrysler building in 1930.
Napoléon's Tomb: Originally built by King Louis XIV in 1676 as an exclusive place or worship for the Royal family. Ceased functioning as a church during the Revolution and is now the resting place of the most famous Frenchman in history.
Musée D'Orsay: Designed for the 1900 Universal Exhibition and originally a train station. It reopened in 1986 as the museum hosting a world-class collection of Impressionist paintings.
Louvre Museum: Originally built as a fort by King Philippe-Auguste in 1190, now one of the grandest museums in the world. The most famous works include the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory of Samothrace.
Tuileries Gardens: Former Royal Gardens in the middle of the city where we'll settle down for lunch at a café nestled in the chestnut trees (price not included).
Champs-Elysées: The most famous avenue in the world. Its sidewalks are lined with cafés, cinemas, 5-star hotels and shops. We see the Champs-Elysées from the Place de la Concorde.

Our Night Bike Tour is the way to experience the “City of Light” at it’s best. We’ll cruise through town as the city lights up around us and see Paris from both bike and boat (free wine is included on our boat cruise). Make no mistake, this is not a substitute for the comprehensive Day Bike Tour - rather a perfect complement and great evening activity! We do not stop for dinner on the Night Tour so either eat before or bring a snack with you.
Tour Highlights:
Notre Dame: The most famous cathedral on the planet. Learn about the famous flying buttresses, the history inside the cathedral and how Paris can trace its roots to the Ile de la Cité. We typically arrive at sunset so have your camera ready!
The Boat Cruise: The most popular activity of the Night Tour is our cruise up and down the Seine through the heart of the illuminated "City of Light". Sail past the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, Hotel de Ville and the Musée D'Orsay, just to name a few. The cruise lasts about one hour.
The Louvre Museum: This is a truly magical place at night. Standing in the back courtyard of the Louvre will make you feel that you've been launched back into medieval times. The lighting is spectacular!
Princess Diana's Flame: The flame was actually given to Paris as a gift from the International Herald Tribune, but happened to be situated above the tunnel where Princess Diana was killed in a car accident on August 31, 1997. It quickly became the place to leave flowers and notes in honor of the late princess.
Academie Française: The Academy was established in 1635 and consists of 40 members, know as the immortals. The members have the task of acting as the official authority of the French language. The building sits on the banks of the Seine, at the end of the Pont des Arts. The Pont des Arts is packed with picnics and music on summer evenings.
Berthillon Ice Cream: By far the most famous ice cream shop in Paris. If you like, buy a scoop from a choice of about 20 flavors as we tell you about the early history of Paris. We eat on the Pont (bridge) St. Louis, which connects the Ile de la Cité and the Ile St. Louis, and provides us with one of the most beautiful vistas the city has to offer.
Also see... the Eiffel Tower, the Ile de la Cité, the Ile St. Louis, St. Chapelle, the Latin Quarter, the Pont des Arts, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and much more!
Combinated day and night bike tour Student $58 – Adult $61
CW3 – VERSAILLES BIKE TOUR: Adult $123
Duration: 8 hours Distance: 16km
1-31 Mar: Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun 9.00
1 Apr-31 Oct: Daily except Mon 9.00
1 Nov-30 Nov: Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun 9.00
Le Chateau de Versailles awaits you in all its grandeur as you return to the time period of the most famous French kings and queens. Allow us to bring you the most famous “house” in the world as few others have experienced it. After meeting at our Paris office, we’ll ride our bicycles to the nearest RER station for the quick train trip to Versailles.
Once at Versailles, we’ll first visit the village market to buy baguettes, cheese, ham, wine or whatever you desire for our picnic later in the Chateau’s gardens. We will then spend most of our day riding through the tree-lined gardens and near the Grand Canal. The average Versailles tourist doesn’t realize that they can only visit a small fraction of the gardens on foot. We’ll see it all!
Tour highlights:
Hall of Mirrors: Used by King Louis XIV as the place to welcome important guests (and also for opulent parties). Try to imagine walking the length of the Hall with servants lining both sides and King Louis himself sitting in a chair at the far end. Also the site of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 that officially ended World War I.
Chateau Gardens: The world-famous gardens are alone worth the trip. We spend most of our day in the outer gardens and along the Grand Canal. These are only enjoyed on a bicycle and are virtually impossible to see on foot. Our guests typically enjoy the gardens even more than the Chateau itself.
The Chateau: Located some 20 kilometres southwest of Paris, it was originally the royal hunting lodge. King Louis XIV moved his court officially to Versailles in 1682 and it became the seat of the French government and monarchy. The Château housed the royal family until 1789 when Revolutionaries forced them to return to Paris.
Grand & Petit Trianons: Built by Kings Louis XIV and XV respectively, they offer a fantastic view into the original Versailles. Each is located in the exterior gardens, away from the Chateau. Charles de Gaulle had an office in the Grand Trianon after World War II.
Versailles Open Market: Our first stop at Versailles will be at the world-famous market to shop for our picnic supplies. Stock up on fruit, cheese, meats, wine and, of course, pastries. Be sure to bring your appetite and a corkscrew.
Picnic along the Grand Canal: We settle down at the far end of the Grand Canal for the best picnic of your life. Typically everyone buys a litttle too much of something and it becomes a feast for all.
Note: The price is the same for both students and adults and includes the guide, a bicycle, transportation to and from Versailles, Chateau entrance and audio guide.

An excellent excursion outside of Paris is to Claude Monet’s breathtaking gardens in Normandy. His unique house, the quaint villages of Vernon & Giverny and our fabulous bicycle ride along the Seine are a welcome change from the hustle-bustle of Paris. Allow us to make the out-of-town trip an easy and enjoyable one for you.
We’ll go by rail through the beautiful wheat & sunflower fields of Normandy to the village of Vernon. There we’ll collect our bikes, head to the market for picnic supplies and then to lunch along the river in a beautiful park. Finally we’ll pedal down our private path to Monet’s gardens where we’ll spend the afternoon inside the most gorgeous landscape in Normandy.
Tour Highlights:
Monet's Gardens: Imagine stepping into the canvas of your favorite Monet painting. Beautiful flowers, the Japanese Bridge and the famous water lilies await you.
Monet's House: Monet and his family moved here in May 1883 and he lived here until his death in 1926. Visitors may explore the interior of his house and also see his collection of Japanese art.
Monet's Gravesite: Monet died on December 5th, 1926 at the age of 86 and is buried along with his family at the small Giverny church. Monet desired a simple burial and roughly only 50 people attended his service.
Picnic along the Seine: A beautiful park along the Seine with the vieux moulin just off the bank. Relax in the grass or take a seat at a picnic table while you enjoy your meal.
Bike Ride: A leisurely 5km bike path is nestled between the bluffs and the Seine River. We ride from Vernon to Giverny on this path.
The price is the same for both students and adults and includes a guide, a bicycle, transportation to and from Paris and entrance to Monet’s house and gardens.
