A mountain range of varied landscapes. Low-lying mountains, fresh air and blue skies have contributed to the renown of the Vosges. Between the Regional Nature Park of the Northern Vosges, the Route des Cretes (ridge road) and the Ballon d'Alsace to the south, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore mountain grazing pastures, peat bogs, glacial cirques, lakes, and hills covered in fir trees that are home to a varied wildlife and flora (chamois, lynx, crayfish, yellow gentian, blueberries). In winter, the fields are covered in miles of cross-country ski trails.
