Things to do:

In terms of activities, we offer both an outdoor pool, with magnificent views over the Allier valley and with the Bourbonnais Mountains as a backdrop and a heated indoor pool with sauna and keep fit area in the old vaulted cellar of the castle. In addition you can stroll peacefully through the woods, make use of the golf driving range in the hotel grounds, use the mountain bikes for hire at the hotel to explore the region, or spend a day fishing in one of the two lakes set in the Ch?teau grounds.

Local Attractions:

In the neighbourhood of the Chateau there are numerous opportunities for activities, such as golf (three excellent golf courses are available in the vicinity of the hotel), horseback riding, canoeing, hiking and cycling. In addition the elegant spa town of Vichy is only a 15 min drive away and the beautiful cathedral city of Clermont Ferrand is within a 30 minute drive.

The Volcano Park
A unique volcanic area with majestic scenery, lush green valleys, sparkling rivers, ideal for touring, walking, biking or canoeing.
Land of history, with its superb Romanesque churches, fine Chateaux and elegant spa towns.
The famous Puy de Dome is a well-known landmark and offers panoramic views from its summit where you can enjoy the experience of Paragliding. At its feet is the capital Clermont Ferrand with modern shopping and a charming old area around its ancient cathedral.
The panoramic gorges along the river Sioule give the opportunity for fishing and canoeing.

Vichy This jewel of a spa towns is famous for its thermal cures and its warm sources. Dating back to Roman times it was added to by Napoleon III with splendid buildings like the Opera, Grand Casino, Antique gallery, etc. There are several parks and playgrounds along the river Allier.
In addition to numerous restaurants, piano bars and nightclubs there is also a casino.
There are many sporting facilities, such as water-skiing, canoeing, tennis, golf, and horse races (Concours Hippique).

Montagne Bourbonnais The place of origin of the Royal Bourbon family, with many castles and old towns such as Charroux (famous for its mustard) and Thiers (famous for its knives and cutlery). There are also many local wines, the most important being Saint Pourcain.

Getting There:

From Orleans the A10. Then take the junction for the A71 direction Clermont Ferrand. Follow this road until exit number 12, Vichy/Gannat. Follow the autoroute and then the N209 direction Vichy and Bellerive/Allier. Once you reach Bellerive/Allier follow signs for Hauterive & St Yorre, leading you onto the D131. Just past Hauterive take a right turn for St Priest Bramefant, the D131. The Chateau is signposted at this turning. Follow this road, the D55, to a village called St Priest Bramefant Les Graveyrons. At the end of the village is a crossroads. Turn right onto the D59, direction Randan. You should now see the Chateau on the top of the hill.
