Half-way between the Chateau of Azay-le-Rideau and the Chateau of Chenonceau, Domaine de la Tortini?re is the perfect place to radiate the French kings country : the Loire Valley.
History, vineyards, "Art de vivre ? la Fran?aise" delightful and harmonious landscape that is what you will find here.

The Domaine de la Tortiniere is a charming family owned chateau hotel built in the 19e century.
It is situated in the middle of a delightful park overlooking the Indre river.
Serenity and calm are the main impressions you may feel during your stay, in any season in the beautiful park or in the Chateau itself.
The Hotel is composed of 11 rooms in the Chateau and all the others in charming older houses spread in a 15 acres Park (only one is outside the Property but in a nice 200 years old house with private garden). The property offers 24 rooms and 6 apartments.
The decoration is refined and very cosy : you will find everywhere antique furniture and nice French or English colourful matching fabrics.
In the turret of the Chateau 4 charming suites, perfect samples of "la vie de Chateau" have a stunning view of the Indre river.
Each of them has a delightful sleeping room in the turret connecting to a charming salon perfect for one or 2 persons, or even for a family.
The restaurant of Domaine de la Tortini?re is a very bright room looking onto the river Indre and the swimming pool.
The refined inventive gastronomic and well known cuisine of David CHARTIER can be served either in the old Orangerie of the Chateau or on the Terrace as often as the weather permits it, in the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.
Your children will be served in priority ; they are our very special guests and more than welcome !

They can play in the Park, we provide bicycles, ping-pong table, tennis, outdoor heated pool... and our staff will be happy to provide a program of visits with culture and leisure (leisure park, kart...)
The program "SUR LA PISTE DE L'ENFANT ROY" is made for children to enjoy culture in a different way.

Things to do:
Tennis court, heated swimming pool, and a rowing boat on the peaceful countryside river are at your disposal.
The billiard is at your disposal and is located in one of our charming old cottages in front of the Chateau named "Le Pavillon Renaissance". The access to the billiard is possible from 10 a.m to 10 p.m.

Wild cyclamens
Our wild cyclamens all over the Park from August to mid November : the Loire Valley is the only place where you can find this incredible view.
Our cooking courses can be arranged either for a morning group or for a weekly group.

- Westward along the Indre river, with a stopover in Balzac's house in Sache, and to the splendid and perfect jewel of the Chateau d'Azay le Rideau, to the Chateau of Rigny Usse (Charles Perrault was inspired by this chateau for the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty) or to the city of Chinon well known for its red wines or across the Loire to discover the last medieval Castle of Langeais.
- Eastward along the Loire, Montlouis or Vouvray both Villages well known for their delicious white wines, to the Chateau of Amboise or to the master piece Chateau of Chenonceau across the Cher and only 30 minutes from Chateau Hotel Domaine de la Tortiniere, then the Chateau of Chaumont ...
- Toward the North (Paris), with a stopover in the city of Blois not to forget the typical Renaissance Chateau of Blois, home of the Valois family and finish with the Wonderful Chateau of Chambord, a must with it's 440 rooms overlooking an outstanding forest.
