There is no shortage of leisure in the "Jardins du Lac", starting on the hotel premises... Enjoy a glass on the terrace overlooling the lake, a few strokes in the swimming pool, a nice bucolic stroll in the hotel water garden.
Local Attractions:
All around, even in Trizay do not forget to walk around the Lac du Bois Fleuri : dominating the surroundings of the hotel, it would be a shame not to know it better ! Also on its banks, next to our hotel, the "Jardins de Compostelle" holds an impressive collection of precious flowers, a beautiful olive grove, numerous pounds and fountains in a skillfully laid out. We are willing to bet that fans of botanic and beautiful garden will appreciate !
For history and architectural lovers, Trizay is the perfect reflection of the Charente-Maritime Department and is among one of the jewels of the Saintonge Romanesque art : the Saint Jean l'Evangeliste Priory, courantly named "the Abbey". The building was perfectly restored and the church ruins, with its enigmatic floor plans, blond colored stones and medieval gardens will no doubt carry you several centuries back in time...
Only a few kilometers from the hotel, discover the religious, architectural and coastal heritage of the area : the historical cities of Rochefort, Saintes and La Rochelle, the Vauban fortifications lining the coast from the headland of the Island of Re to the tip of the island of Oleron through Brouage, a citadel stranded in the heart of the marshes, the Romanesque churches built in each Saintonge villages and the castles of La Roche Courbon, Crazanne, and la Gataudiere...
While visiting, do not fail to enjoy our Islands... ? the white one, Imperial Aix, Oleron ! Walk along their beaches and salterns, climb the stairs of their lighthouses : les Baleines, Chassiron and the "Jumeaux d'Aix", stroll around the streets and alleys of their typical villages !
You can also appreciate this region through its culinary specialties... Marennes Oleron oysters, Charron mussels, Pineau, Cognac "gods liqueur" ! You may not even be familiar yet with the chaudree, jonchee, milla... Widely open to the world through its harbor, Charente Maritime Department always married in its cuisine the local products to flavours from other places : mouclade being the best example...

By Car:
- From Rochefort : head towards Marennes Oleron over the Martrou Bridge.
After this bridge, take the exit ramp for Saint Agnant, cross the village till the trafic lights. Turn left, D123 towards Trizay Saint Hippolyte. Stay on this road for about 6 kilometers. The Jardins du Lac are located on the left and overlook the Trizay lake. At the base of the floral park of Compostelle.
- From Royan : Take the road to Rochefort till Saint-Agnant. At the trafic lights turn right and take D123 towards Trizay Saint-Hippolyte. Stay on this road for about 6 kilometers. The Jardins du Lac are located on the left and overlook the Trizay lake. At the base of the floral park of Compostelle.
- From Saintes : Take RN 137 towards Rochefort. On the outskirts of Beurlay, turn left towards Trizay. Reaching Trizay, follow the direction Saint Agnant D123. Les Jardins du Lac will be on your right and overlook the Trizay lake. At the base of the floral park of Compostelle.
- From Oleron : Take towards Rochefort. Cross the village of Saint-Agnant till the trafic lights. Take D123 towards Trizay Saint Hippolyte. Stay on this road for about 6 kilometers. The Jardins du Lac are located on the left and overlook the Trizay lake. At the base of the floral park of Compostelle.
- From Surgeres : Head towards Saint Hippolyte. In Saint Hippolyte head towards Trizay till the round-about "la charme". Take the D123, towards Saint Agnant. The Jardins du Lac are located on the right and overlook the Trizay lake. At the base of the floral park of Compostelle.
