- Lake Geneva
A candlelight cruise or shopping in Lausanne, the choice is yours.
The lake is 72m long, 72m deep and has an area of 58 000ha. A distinction is generally made between the Petit lac, the small area between Geneva and Yvoire and the Grand lac, the wider sector (partly in the region of Vevey), also called the Haut lac, on the far eastern side. The boats of the Compagnie Generale de Navigation link the French and Swiss banks of the lake. From Evian, visitors can go on a full trip around the lake, cross to Lausanne-Ouchy or simply take a night cruise.
- Water Exhibition Centre
The former pump room of the Cachat source.
Accessible to people of restricted mobility.
Built in 1905, this is a wood and glass pavilion, covered with a dome framed by semi-circular stained-glass windows with plant designs. Once the old St Catherine's fountain, the Cachat source was named after its owner, who had the idea of commercialising Evian water. In the hall are exhibits and practical information on Evian water and cures.
- Villa Lumiere Town Hall
A villa typical of the luxury of the Belle Epoque.
Built in 1896, it was the second creation of Auguste Lumi?re, the father of the inventor of the cinematograph, after the chateau du Clos in La Ciotat. A painting of the caryatids by the Lyon artist, Devaux, whose inspiration was taken from Pierre Puget's atlantes. There is a superb main staircase seemingly being attacked by an enraged lion.

- Ripaille Estate - Thonon-les-Bains
A foundation dedicated to ecology in the palace-monastery of a duke-hermit.
A squat fortress with four towers and light-coloured tiled roofs: Amedee VIII retired to live here as a hermit, and this is portrayed in the Neo-Gothic rooms. You may also visit the kitchen of the Chartreux, the forest (and the Clearing of the Just, an homage to those who risked their lives to save the Jews from the genocide), and the arboretum. The estate holds the Ripaille foundation, an ecological, geographical and natural resource development research centre.
