Day 2 Sartène - Serra-di-Scopamène

Suggestion: Take a Tour to the Hinterland and visit the small Town of Sartène

Sartène, the most Corsican of all Corsican towns offers a stunning panoramic view from the Gulf of Valinco to the massif of the Aiguilles de Bavella. Take a stroll through the picturesque narrow alleys and make a stop in one of the manifold shops offering local handcraft and delicatessen. Most shops propose tastings, why not treat yourself?

One of the town's most interesting museums is the “A Casa di Roccapina” offering exhibitions, shows and interactive activities. Audio-guides in English and many other languages will be at your disposal.

Here you will also find prehistoric standing stones such as menhirs and megaliths.

Day 3 Col de Bavella - Serra-di-Scopamène

Suggestion: Mountain Hike through the Regional Natural Park to the "Trou de la Bombe"

Participate in a hike through one of the most fascinating mountain sceneries Corsica has to offer. Via the impressive mountain pass Col de Bavella, you will get right into the heart of the Regional Natural Park. Craggy peaks, mighty cliffs and wind-bent pine trees characterize the landscape.

After a walk through the pinewood of Lariccio, you will reach the “Trou de la Bombe”, a naturally formed hole of 8 m in diameter in the ridge of the Paliri Mountains offering a breathtakingly beautiful view of the massif and the western slope.

Day 4 Centuri

Suggestion: Free day in Cervione

Enjoy your Corsica holiday at the beach in Cervione. Within walking distance of your accommodation, you have access to the beautiful beaches. Here you can rest, explore the numerous restaurants and cafes and discover the area.

Day 5 Saint-Florent - Centuri

Suggestion: Hike along the Path “Sentier des Douaniers“in Cap Corse

Follow the track of the former customer officers on the “Sentier des Douaniers” which will lead you past the old Genoese tower Santa Maria and the impressive rocks overhanging the blue sea. This is a relaxing and easy walk for those who want to soak up the pure sea breeze and marvel at the beautiful scenery!

Day 6 Bastia - Vivario

Suggestion: Visit of Bastia

Take a stroll through the historic city of Bastia and immerse yourself in the easy-going Mediterranean ambiance.

Browse around the abundant colourful markets and soak up the cheerful atmosphere. Cheese, fish, sea food, cold cuts, honey, olives, wine and many other regional delicatessen are praised with the typical Mediterranean loquaciousness.

Don't be shy to ask for a tasting!

Must-sees are the old port and the medieval citadel.

Day 7 Vivario

Suggestion Mountain Tour to the Cascade des Anglais

To a unique glacial valley. After a two-hour walk along an ancient path, formerly used for the seasonal move of sheep and goats, you will reach a magic spot with vestiges of ancient sheep-farms, dozing on the shore of a mountain torrent shaded by a large beech grove – the ideal moment for a break and a refreshing dip in the Cascade!

Once rested, you will continue to the pass Col de Vizzavona via the mythic path GR20. During the whole tour, your guide will attract your attention to the untouched flora and fauna, as well as to the cultural heritage of the region.

Day 8 Ajaccio

Suggestion: Discover Ajaccio, the “Imperial City”

Ajaccio is the county town of South Corsica. The rue Fesch is a pleasant pedestrian street and the city’s main road. You may want to visit the Musée Fesch, a museum of contemporary art which is located in this street. Browse the colourful abundant market, take a stroll through the marina or the picturesque narrow alleys, and immerse yourself in the authentic Corsican art de vivre! The city’s most notorious citizen is Napoleon Bonaparte who was born there in 1769.

One of the city’s highlights is the Domaine des Milelli. Nestling on the heights of Ajaccio, the property is surrounded by a twelve-hectare century-old olive grove. It is not surprising that Napoleon Bonaparte had chosen this idyllic scenery to set up his country house. Today the property it is a public Park offering beautiful strolls. Bonaparte’s country house is heritage-protected and therefore not open for visitors.

Unfortunately, this is already time to leave!  Drop of car at Ajaccio Airport.
