First, drive through La Dombes region, a land which homes one thousand pounds created by men since the 11th century and offer a rich wild life.
En route, stop several times to take pictures of this fascinating landscape which becomes one of the biggest bird sanctuaries in Europe hosting more than 400 bird species.
Then, visit the town of Perouges, a model of medieval architecture with narrow winding cobbled streets and ancient houses with half-timbered facades dating from the 13th century.
Visit the Fortress Church and the central "Tilleul Square", one of the best-preserved elements of this "cité" which main activities were linen weaving and farming.
Learn about French history as you discover this unique setting used several times for background movies including the 3 Musketeers.
Finally, stroll through little craft shops & boutiques before tasting some Perouges “Galette”, the local pancake speciality.
