At this point in time I want to thank you for all your tips with my visit to Paris next week.
I will take all your recommendations on board and hopefully try that fancy restaurant Les Ombres Restaurant
Enjoy your Christmas Marc and look forward to our catch up on return in January
I would like to thank you for all the work and trouble you went to in ensuring that my daughter’s and my travel arrangements went like clockwork this year. We had a marvellous three months and enjoyed every moment of it. So far I have not decided what I will do or where I will go next year but I will start my planning early in the New Year.
I am sorry to have taken so long to let you know just how fabulous our trip to France was and what an amazing job you did. Everything went like clockwork and it was just an amazing time.
You planned everything just so well.
I would love to come in when we are next in the city and let you know our thoughts on everything.
Hope to catch up with you in the near future and we will certainly book our trip to France next year with you.
Kind Regards and many thanks.
Maree and Greg T.
Having just the best time. Hotels, trains, tour vouchers all ran perfectly.
I spoke to Ms C. yesterday, their cycle trip was the best part of their holiday (the only part they booked with me as she booked the rest online)! Thank you for your assistance with this, she is very fussy but said the cycles were great, each property had great character and they had a fabulous time!
Thanks again, lucky I came to the French Tourism Roadshow last year!
I am not sure if you remember me but you organised train tickets and accommodation in Dijon plus four wine tours for me. I was extremely happy with everything you organised, it all went clockwork.
I thought I should drop you a line to say how wonderful the Battlefield tour you booked for us.
I can't imagine anyone doing it better - Vick and Dianne are a real find.
Once again, thank you.
Thanks Marc. The Flanders tour was fantastic. Highly recommended and driver/guide brilliant.
My sister and I are finally back from our travels.
We both would like to thank you for organising our Flanders Battlefield tour from Lille to Ypres and back to Paris.
Can you please contact our tour guide Raoul and thank him again for a very interesting and informative tour of Flanders Battlefields. My sister Delma and I learnt a lot and he was always very interesting to listen to and answer any of our questions.
Raoul set a very high mark. So our next guided tour we had organised of the Somme Battlefields, was not as great as what we experienced with Raoul.
Thank-you again for organising this for us.
I had an incredible time in Paris and a wonderful trip all in all! Amsterdam was fun too.
Thank you for all your help with that.
We mostly had a very pleasant time in Lille.
Unfortunately the Flea Market was cancelled because of security concerns, but the Flanders Tour with Raoul was excellent. We had a very interesting time.
Just a quick note to say merci for the houses that you have booked for us to stay so far. We are in Chateau Etoge tonight and are looking forward to the other destinations. Sospel was beautiful and the Auberge Provencale was amazingly hospitable. We had drinks and dinner on the terrace as the sun set over the town and valley. The drive via the canyon to Greoux les Bains was majestic. Beau Rivage on the river in Condrieu was amazing and the dining experience 5 star.

Just to let you know we had a wonderful time in France and Ireland. We loved Sarlat and Dordogne. The ibis hotel suited us well. A lovely restaurant just across the road. Cave paintings and villages were wonderful. Bordeaux looks interesting but we had little time.
We also had a good time in Ireland but with its traditional summer cool and wet on the west coast. Had a wonderful stay on the last week in an "Irish cottage" with peat fire and sloping floors.
All in all a good trip.
Thanks for your help.
Thank you for forwarding the email and making the whole booking process so easy.
Many thanks for your help.
I apologise for not getting to you sooner to thank you for organising my French wine tours and train journey. Everything went according to plan.
My trip was enjoyable and you made the French part go very smoothly and with no hassles whatsoever.
I will be travelling again next year and I would have no hesitation in using your services again.
Thank you, belatedly for organising our travels in France in May.
Pat & Dick B.
Thank you for arranging the travel and accommodation for my wife and myself for our recent trip to the UK and France. The package you organised, including the self-guided tour in the Loire Valley, was absolutely outstanding.
The hotels you booked were high quality and conveniently located, close to major attractions and facilities. Most were a relatively short walk from the local railway station.
Our train travel throughout the UK and France was excellent and went very smoothly. We experienced no difficulties or problems in negotiating the rail network.
May I particularly thank you for suggesting Albi as an alternative to staying in Toulouse. Without doubt Albi is a real gem and is one of the better kept secrets of France. We were delighted with the experience of visiting this World Heritage listed city.
Should we be planning future trips to France I would be delighted to make use of your services again, and would have no hesitation in recommending you and France Tourism to other prospective travelers.
I just want to give you some feedback of the arrangements you made when my wife & I went to Paris.
It was excellent and you instructions were perfect.
Thank you once again Marc for the professional job you did and for your advice.
The school have returned home from their amazing trip (thank you for doing such a great job for us again!), and I've had a meeting with the Head Teacher to get some feedback on how things went.
They had a fantastic time in France, and I wanted to share their feedback with you. They loved their coach drivers that you organised....really great with the kids and also did a lot of work for APT, which is good feedback.
Jon, their guide was excellent...very knowledgeable and a really good story teller...great with the kids.
The Clay sculptures were a HUGE hit.....really worthwhile activity and they recommend that everyone takes part if they're in the area
Eiffel Tower entry was perfect....great sunset from the top and no waiting!!
L' Excuse Restaurant - wonderful experience - fantastic host got the kids up dancing and singing and she tailored the menu for the kids.
Parc Asterix was also a big hit....not too crowded.
Thanks Marc for looking after this for us......and I look forward to sending new groups your way!
My husband and l have just returned from France and enjoyed our tour to The Somme as arranged by yourself.
I just wanted to drop you a note to say how well organised the tour was and how good and informed our guide,
Regis, was. It was a full on day but time well spent and great value for the money. Regis was most helpful and even helped to locate the site of a lost relative of one of the other travellers who was also on our tour.
Thank you very much - all went well.
Thank you Marc we are very happy that we found your excellent company and appreciate your assistance
Thanks so much for recommending this apartment to us for our week in
Collioure. It was ideal and fantastic location. We had fine warm weather and
it was a quiet time with only a few French tourists in the streets. When I
asked for your guidance, I felt quite lost and staying there helped us get
settled in France.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Lynden and Mark
Marg and I are back from our magnificent European holiday.
Our time in the Dordogne and especially our stay in Sarlat which was the highlight of our trip.
The day tours were great and the guide we had for 3 1/2 of the 4 days was both charming and knowledgeable.
Overall we would highly recommend the Splendours of the Dordogne Tour as well as Sarlat and the Dordogne as a holiday destination.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bordeaux where we had a wonderful stay.
Thank you with your assistance in putting with wonderful part of a fantastic holiday together.
Alan & Margit W.
I just came back from my trip and wanted to thank you. I recommend the Tour Guide you arranged for Flanders & Somme. It was fantastic!
To whom it may concern,
On the 26th April, 2014 I had the pleasure of participating in a tour of World War 1 battlefields throughout Northern France and Belgium, with Raoul as my guide. I wish to advise that this was indeed the highlight of my holiday and I cannot thank Raoul enough for his professionalism, knowledge and friendly personality. This was truly a very special day for me and I would highly recommend Raoul as a guide to any of my family or friends that are thinking of doing a similar tour in France. You are extremely fortunate to have a guide such as Raoul representing France tourism.
We have just had to say farewell to Di at the Menin Gate. We have had the most wonderful three days with Di and Judy. We can't thank you enough for organising the tour Di is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Somme and W.W.1.
She did organise for us to lay a wreath at the Menin Gate and it was a great finale to the tour.
She did research on our family members who died at Polygon Wood and discovered both Ken's and my great uncles died same day, same place fighting together, unbelievable.
I could talk longer about each day and the fun we had together but it would be a short novel. The tour, with Di is a must do for any Australian.
Many thanks again,
Helen and Ken M.
I will send a more detailed note when I get back however I just wanted to let you know how fabulous this is. Di is unbelievable. This whole experience is proving to be fantastic and with just 3 of us we are so privileged.
I will be singing your & Di's praises to all.
Dawn Service in the morning.
Thank you! The other agent would never have managed to get that information for me so bless you. Made my day. Regards
Thanks for organising the Eiffel tower tour and Eurodisney for us, all went very smoothly and glad we took your advice and pre booked.
Once again thanks and happy to recommend your company.
This is just a short note to let you know that we have thoroughly enjoyed the Alsace Tour – it totally exceeded expectations. Everything, from accommodation, food, transfers, paperwork was perfect.
The area in itself is gorgeous, the countryside fantastic to walk through and the wines to do die for. Considering the choice of the two-star trip, we were so blown away with the accommodation and the food. It was amazing; we tended always to get the corner rooms with the extra space.
The holiday was absolutely fantastic, we cannot complain about anything. We hope to book another tour within two years.
Thanks again and kind regards
Patricia and John S.
Thank you for your assistance in preparation for my trip to Paris, much appreciated!
Now we have returned to Australia and overcome our jet lag, I would like to inform you we had a great day on the Somme with Diane who is, without exception, the best guide we have experienced in all our travels. Diane met us at the Longueau station on a cool and wet morning and we were the only passengers she had on that day. She took us immediately to Villers-Bretonneux where, fortunately, the rain stopped for the rest of our visit. Diane has an exceptional knowledge of the area and we managed to go to most of the places of interest to us. The only problem we had was the time available to visit the major sites and, had we been wiser before the visit, we could have extended the visit to two or even three days.
Should we be able to visit Europe in the future, we will most certainly plan a lengthier visit to the Somme.
Thank you also for your assistance in arranging the train travel and the tour. We certainly know who to contact should our wishes to again visit France come to fruition.
Fred and Bernadette C.
Just a note, to let you know how happy we have been, with your suggestions for our trip to France.
The Battlefields Tour was just unbelievable, with Vic and Diane, who were superb B&B hosts, as well as marvellous Guides. Nothing was a problem to them, and they had done lots of extra research, to help our search. We visited so many places, trudged the trenches in the rain, and found the family grave, and just found the whole experience quite gob-smacking! I am hoping the photos will remind us of so many things we saw. It is something that every person should get to experience, to see the devastation caused by greed (my belief).
The Hosted Paris Dinner was just so very interesting, and possibly THE best thing of our Paris visit. Sophie and Emmanuel, and their adult son, Gabby, welcomed us into their home, as friends, and we all learned so much about each other's lifestyles.
We all did a guided tour of their lovely home, and then the meal, all prepared by Sophie, herself, was superb... 5 or maybe 6 courses, with appropriate wines for each (!!!). And cheeses to die for! Her son's description was " If his Mum went on Masterchef, she would win!" It was true! They insisted on driving us back to Paris, along with a tour of the City Monuments, with lights.
Just a magical evening, and I would not hesitate in recommending you sending any of your clients to this family...such a great people.
We had been a bit nervous about going, and it was quite a long way out, and raining, so rather tentative about ringing the gate-bell! Sophie had contacted us, to ask if we would like to arrive at 6.30pm, and we left their home ay 11.45pm! As you suggested to us, "Why not eat with a French Family!" Wonderful.
The "Behind the Scenes" Eiffel Tower Tour was good...raining, so Tower ensconced in mist/fog, but photos will be added to our previous ones, to show a different aspect! We did walk there, one evening, with a clear sky, for the twinkling lights show. It really is a magnificent monument, isn't it? Another couple were on this Tour, from you, at France Tourism, also.
So, now it is back to life in the real world, but we have some wonderful memories, and thanks to you, some very unusual ones.
Joy and Graham W.
I would like to thank you for organising on short notice. I'm sure my wife and I will have a great time in Paris.
Once again thank you.
Good morning Marc,
Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed Paris.
The trip to Versailles was amazing. The Behind The Scenes - Eiffel Tower Tour was the highlight of my visit to Paris - Once we arrived we were able to join the English speaking tour and thoroughly enjoyed the three hours we spent on the tour and on the Tower - would highly recommend this tour to everybody who is visiting Paris. Once again could not believe the long queues waiting for entry.
Thank you very much for helping me with my bookings and can't wait to return to Paris again in the near future.
Sylvia de B. (South Africa)
We returned home just over a week ago .. albeit battling jetlag which I’m hoping I have just overcome in the last couple of days!
It was a wonderful time and everything went to plan .. thanks being to much of your organisation. Your booking in Manila at the Peninsula Hotel was very good in both standard and location. The WW1 tour which you’d organised for us with Diane was amazing – she has a great personality and we felt immediately comfortable in her company. She went to a great deal of trouble researching both Phil’s grandfather and great uncle and gave us a very detailed and personalised tour centred round them. We were very impressed and by the end of the three days emotionally exhausted! You’ve got an excellent service in both she and her husband and we would highly recommend her tours to anyone.
All train trips you booked for us went without incident and we were all very impressed by the TGV trips in particular. And what about Montpellier? .. What a beautiful city. We really loved it .. another excellent suggestion from you.
Thank you again for all the detail, recommendations and effort you put into our travel .. we are very appreciative of all the time and effort you put into helping make it a wonderful 6 weeks in Europe for us.
Rebecca & Phil C.
Thank you so much for your fast reply and very good service!
I wanted to express our appreciation for your assistance with our rail passes, tickets and reservations for our recent holiday in Europe. We had a most enjoyable holiday, and our rail travel went very smoothly, thanks to your efforts with our itinerary. The TGV is certainly the way to go!
Thank you again for your expertise.
I am so pleased that I have found you and that you are from France as you have the knowledge on the ground. As I am sure you will hear from me again in the future for travel bookings. Thanks for your good advice.
If you have promotions, please include me on the distribution list.
In short, our holiday was amazing and everywhere we went and all the accommodation was wonderful, just how we like it. The actual day to day plan worked well for us with not too much driving in between towns. Ile de Re was the stand-out location as it became a holiday within the holiday itself. La Clarisse was particularly lovely and they gave us an upgrade to junior suites. A great location and away from the hustle of the main Toiras hotel on the water front.
WW1 tour we all got a lot out of and Vic told many interesting stories and was an excellent tour guide, though quite an unusual character! The B&B was OK, clean and cosy and his wife was delightful and presented us with a lovely breakfast each morning.
Thank you very much for your expert advice, which we greatly appreciate, and hope we, can go to France again in the future!
Lesley and David G.
Our travel agent, Marc Pilcer booked us into an apartment-hotel in a little oasis of hotels, restaurants and parks east of the central city. It is very quiet - no through traffic. The locals come from miles away to sit outside the cafes and smoke. There was a farmers' market in the courtyard every day last week but it has gone this week. When I walk the 4 blocks to the internet cafe I am suddenly in the mad bustle of a busy suburban shopping street. You wouldn't believe the two areas are so close.
Graeme and Diana
I would like to thank you for our Europe bookings. Our accommodations were in excellent locations it made easier to find our ways to city centres and other places.
We loved France! Had a great time thanks to your help.
Just wanted to say thank you for your recommendations for travel for my travel to Cap Frehel for Tour de France. Everything went smoothly and I had a great time there. It’s a really beautiful little coastal town.
Those looking for general advice may consider talking to me but for more specific advice it makes sense to visit francetourism.com.au at 90 Pitt Street and speak to the manager, Marc Pilcer, who can help with finalizing travel plans and making train and related travel bookings: he is a gem.
Just a quick note to advise that we sorted out all the travel arrangements and had a great day with Vic, on the Battlefields;
Weather started out OK , but turned very cool and finished with rain:
Nonetheless it was great; Vic is a fantastic guide. So well informed and enthusiastic about his job. He can relate the most absorbing and interesting stories, facts etc about WW1 and especially (for us) the part the Aussies played in that area of the conflict.
Mate, he really knows his stuff, I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Just a quick line to let you know that all went smoothly in France for us.
Would especially like to let you know that our tours in Bordeaux and Sarlat were excellent.
We spent three days with Nancy in Sarlat. She was a wonderful host and we would recommend her company highly.
Once again thanks for organizing things for us
Diana & Richard R.
Thank for your work on our holiday which was very successful.
The accommodation in Paris was ideal as was the hotels in Milan and Innsbruck.
The train travel was great and gave us time to relax and view our surrounds. The Transfer from the train station to Charles De Gaulle was a great idea as it took us 3 hours process the airport.
Errol and Len B.
A note of sincere thanks for organizing our french episode so magnificently. It realy was a great experience - exactly what we wanted - except for the rain on the candlelight procession at Lourdes.
Thank you for organising our trip to Aix en Provence it has been most relaxing and enjoyable (including the calissons)
Merci beaucoup encore.
F.and L. O.
Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in France and everything worked out well.
The place you recommended in La Roche Bernard, Manoir du Rodoir was absolutely gorgeous, something completely different from a hotel or an apartment and the couple that manage it were lovely people.
Also the Hotel de L'Ocean in Biarritz was cute and in a fantastic location.
So I just wanted to thank you for all your help and great advice which resulted in us having a fabulous holiday.
We are now in Paris, thanks so much for everything you have done.
